GREAT finds in my girlfriend's yard:clapping:

I went back to my girlfriends yard the other day where I found the 1908 indian head to see what else I could find. It had rained on and off all week, so i figured the conditions were ideal. First few hours turned up a few clad pennies and a bunch of junk. I then decided to restrict my searching to the side of her house, which had previously been the front yard back in the 1800's. A few hrs in, I got a good hit and dug up a 1916 mecury dime. This was a first and I ran inside to show it to my gf. I came back out and checked over the hole again and there was another hit! I then pulled out a 1923 mercury dime and a 1925 standing liberty quarter, another first. I was very excited. I continued to search and found another 1916 mercury dime a foot away! 30 minutes later and about 8 feet from my previous finds, I pulled out a coin a little smaller than a silver dollar with a hole in it like someone was wearing it as a necklace. It turned out to be an 1832 Nova Scotia Thistle Half Penny Token. Too bad it had the hole, but still a very cool find. About 3 feet from that coin I pulled out a 1831 Large Cent!!! What a day! I continued to search, and found a 1919 wheatie, but it was getting dark so I had to call it quits. Overall, an extremely productive day. Here are the pics

Congrats on the fantastic finds! You found as much great stuff in one afternoon than many find in a year. Very good hunting, Beale.

hi anc, nice finds! wow! check the backs of the 1916 dimes, and look for a "d" at about 7 o'clock. if they're 16d's, they're worth big bucks! what a good day you had! hh,
