Great Finds after the First two Months with the Deus

I went to the beach about a month ago and tried the Deus Dry and Wet beach programs out.. I thought both programs worked well. Along the wet sand area, the Deus had no problem finding nickels 8-9 inches deep with strong hits. I was alternating in the wet area between a Whites Dual PI and the Deus.. When I returned home from the beach, I traded the Whites in for a Racer 2.. The Whites found everything and deep, but with no discrimination you will dig an awful lot and awful deep. But, back to the Deus, while using the Dry Beach program, in the sand, I found a woman's wedding band. 14k white gold and 7 diamonds, not huge diamonds, but diamonds still the same.

This week I went to a school site that had been built over land where old houses once were. Using a custom program, I spent about two hours searching and found a 1945 Washington quarter and a Sterling Silver ring, basically a wedding band, along with about 7-8 other quarters, several dimes and lots of pennies, including one Wheat cent.

The program settings were based on frequency 4 and notching out 0-60 and 95-99... Worked as expected and made the hunting fun in a very trashy area...

I had previously hunted this school using the Sifter program, which I do like, but this program allowed less trash thru... Probably kept some good targets out too, but still, it was fun to use and I had some good success...

All in all, I'm enjoying the Deus and the flexibility to use the programs provided or custom programs to shake things up a bit.. My previous detectors include the Safari, Etrac, Whites MXT Pro, Whites MXT All Pro, and Whites Dual Surf PI..

thanks for the write up ! congrats on the finds.

Went to the same searched out location yesterday and found two Silver Washingtons in the same hole... a 1935 and a 1945 to go with the 1945 Washington I found a week or so ago.. Dug one out and while I was filling my hole back in, I saw the second one in the loose dirt...
