Out for another fall hunt. Fantastic day too! Here is one of the places I played at. I got a silver coin and a ring here.

Got to peek into this barn. The farmer was nearby so I had no problem working around there. The field had canola stubble, which is like bamboo shoots sticking up every where. But......I thought that I found my best find ever inside.

When I walked inside, I was literally stunned! I mean, I look inside and there is a powder rifle just laying there. I picked it up and then I realized it was only a toy. There was a sports field beside the old barn, and I only found one clad dime. The farmer just laughed, and said that there was this retired guy in town with a metal detector and spends most of his days "searching". Go figure eh!

Here is a pic of the totals for the day. A great hunt.....and a good sleep is in order.......

Here are the best finds today.....a 1965 silver quarter, down about 6 inches in a very alkaline lake and a Boyscout ring.
