Great Detector pouch set up!

treasure dog

New member
This is the best detector pouch set up i could come up with. The Lesche digger and the Garretts Pro sheaths are riveted in place and don't slide around. I still have room for trash in the bottom. The good finds i slide into the top section. Very durable and easy to use.

I like it...where did you get the pouch/belt?

I like the looks of that. I've got several pouches that are alright for coins etc., but they aren't quite deep enough to hold my Lesche and screw driver as well as I'd like.

looks heavy though!
i like to travel light!
garrett on the the belt, and lesche on the belt,
and a nail apron in the middle!

BassPro and Cabela's both have a pouch designed for shotgun shooting. They are made of mesh with a snap open top. The mesh is pretty strong and you can drop your finds into it and rinse off the dirt without fear of losing your finds. I carry my digger in my off hand so I won't cut the mesh with it. Onus

may be just my belts to wide, but I dont use the propointer holder because the Velcro keeps coming undone and the sleeve falls to the ground. - any one else have this trouble? thanks, CO

me too! same rig! but i am movin' away from it
because i am finding it to be a little heavy and cumbersome!
i am too conscious of it when wearing it!.gin' back to slappin' the pro pointer on my belt
(left side),and the lesche on my belt (right side) with a coin apron tied around my waist.
much lighter, and far less cumbersome...just sayin'

My set-up.

Pouch and web belt from Home Depot...about $15.

The trash bag was a gift from a friend that works for UPS.
I like the placement of my Propointer.
Much more efficient and easier to reach than if was on my hip, and no dirty end rubbing on my pants.

Everything is mounted to the pouch via saddle screw rivets, including the pro-pointer holster.
The most likely place now to find these pouches is ebay. They are two types of leather ones like in the title post, one has a thin shallow top pocket with a larger lower pouch, the other one has a bit more of a pouch for the upper pocket. You can find them used and new, some sellers want WAY to much money them, while others are pretty darn cheap!
My belt came from goodwill for like $2.00.

I like the pouch well enough that I went back to ebay and bought a second one that I've never mounted anything to yet.
I use the larger pocket for trash,
the smaller pocket for the coins and jewelry.

Its easy on,
easy off,
everything is in one place.
Its not perfect, but its pretty darn close!

I just need a small trash and keepers pouch now. This was one of Buzz's creations. Its so sweet!

I like Buzz's creation. Sometime's less is best.... Especially when going thru the woods looking for civil war relics. CCH.

Yeah thats sweet!
