These units are imported from China and may work as an entry level unit but they are certainly not up to what most water hunters expect in terms of quality and performance . . . . . and the claimed $1300 price tag . . . . you have to be kidding!

If you are looking for a PI detector, stick with one of the name brand manufacturers that will stand behind their product and have a proven track record

I just bought a used 1280x for $300, came with the headphones and the sling for chest/hip mounting the control box, and when I sawt his, I was like, "What the %*$^#~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I had looked hard, and long, at the Shark, so you got me!

Tesoro doesn't own the name Sand Shark more than likely. They probably own the name Tesoro Sand Shark.
