Great day, lousy hunting, good friends

Great day - wasn't even into hunting for an hour before I had to go back to the car and take off my jacket. Lousy hunting though - you can see my peanut below.

Ran into Kenny from Hampton, down from the North to raid our Southern beaches. He brought his trusty First Mate Mike with him just in case he ran into some of those scurvy Virginia Beach pirates. Kenny was wielding a fairly new Excal and Mike was slinging his new Beach Hunter ID. Who would have a chance against those weapons? Nice pair of fellows, hope to run into them again.

James came along shortly thereafter. He lives only a few blocks off the beach and is a regular beach pirate, although I haven't run into him before. He also likes to surf fish and I hope to get a few lessons from him.

All-in-all, a beautiful day and I made some new friends. The ocean looked fairly calm, but there must have been some good swells out there because the waves made it difficult to search in the water.

Gold lurks beneath those sands.........waiting to be found.

Save some for me, Max. I have a bass fishing tournament on Saturday and I'm working at a golf course on Sunday. That's pretty much the schedule (along with teaching on Saturday) for the whole month of March. We'll be able to shift into some evening hunting later this month. Hope to set up something with you then.
