Great Day for hunting

Coinseeker 78

The temp was in the sixty's the wind was brisk but not cold. This old man decided it was time to take my new AT PRO out for a spin to an old house I had permission to hunt. This was the second day I got to really hunt since I got it on Friday via FED EX. The house was an old duplex that was used for apartments for many years and another apartment in the back. There was 3 driveways all of them gravel. I was finding coin signals in the driveways but found it terrible to dig in since many of the signals were deep. I had hunted the house yesterday and worked the front yard and found nothing but clad,42 cents worth but it was deep. Much of the clad was 6 to 8 inches deep so I figure it must be fill dirt. I started to detect down the side of the house and found it loaded with bits of trash. So I set my pro to 35 disc and 0 setting with max gain on pro settings. I got a pretty high signal at 8 inches and dug up a 1947 Roosevelt dime. In the hole was 3 nails. It messed with the VDI a bit but I dug the sound. I also finished the day with 2 quarters and 7 pennies along with some old artifact of which I cannot figure what is was for The AT PRO is working out very well and is a fun machine to use. Thanks for reading this post. Good luck hunting.

Sounds like a tough place to hunt. I get a feeling of exasperation when I find clad coins deeper than usual.

Post a pic of the artifact.
