First off the best thing for me today was went MDing with my dad I set up the pro for him to use while I used my X-terra 705 he is 76 and did'nt last long due to health issues so he rode his four wheeler around on his farm for a awhile when I was mding,Did'nt do no good there so went back to his house in a different location and I was using the AT pro to get the hang of it since I just got it. I found my first barber a quarter 1894 no mark,I live in western central illinois and found a 1859 sixpence coin in the field by his house.
Talk about being out of place LOL....So it was Happy B-Day to me all day,
The best gift of the day spending time with dad.
So if your dad is still around and the outdoor type take him MDing you be glad you did! We had a great time.

Congrats on the oldies.

Nice Victorian sixpence and Barber, and great to hear that

your hunting buddy is your dad, priceless:twodetecting:

I looked up the sixpence coin to learn more and seen it is British sterling silver thats cool.

Nice finds!! Congrats for your Dad :clapping:
i have a full bag of good days with my dad... too much!!
best regards

Nice pair of silver beauties!! My dad is long gone, but I have fond memories of him taking me on my first MD outings as a boy.

My dad used to go detecting with me but would not use a detector. He found great joy in digging my targets. I no longer have my dad and what a hugh void lt is. Spend as much time as you can with your dad because some day you wont be able to. Congrats on your finds and happy bday. Randy
