GRD hunt and depth????

Anyone having a depth problem with the AT gold? I have a hunt on the east coast in a few weeks and I am flying from Calif..I have the G2 or the At Gold to bring and want the best depth and the best in iron. I am new to the AT gold only used it once but was a tester for the G2 and used it for two years but have not detected for a full year due to cancer. . At times I may want depth in the woods and also need to deal with iron at some places. How you would you set up the Gold all metal? I think I will bring both coils but use the bigger one in areas with less iron. Only have three days at this sight at the GRD hunt...any one use both detectors??

Low-Boy, If you are going to hunt an area that has high mineralization, with variable mineralization areas. I would use the AT Gold. If you use the Adjustable Ground Balance Window in All Metal it would help bring out targets, out of this variable bad mineralization. If you haven't watched Garretts video on the ground balance window, I would suggest watching it. It really opened my eyes when they showed how it worked in the mineralized ground from Australia. If the area you are going to hunt has medium to low mineralization, then your G2 should be fine. Hope this helps. Mark
