Gray Ghost XP Deus Headphones

hi
looking for advice on these headphones. I'm from the UK and most here use the Chefphones CP6s.

I'm considering the WS5's but the cheaper option is to use the WS4 controller, just wondered what the tones are like. I love Garys Hot programme and you really need to hear the whispers.

thanks

Not use the CP6 headphones but they do get some good review, this also allows you to use the WS4 set during the hot weather and the CP6 phones for the winter,i personally use the WS5 headphones, when i use the T2 i use the Predators from Crawfords.

I use the Gray Ghost head phones and have used the WS-5s...they both sound good to me. The ear padding and overall construction of the Gray Ghosts are solid. They do a real good job of blocking external noise which really allows you to focus on the tones. I can wear them all day and they don't hurt my ears at all (the WS-5s did bother me after a day of hunting). In the summer heat they do tend to cause a little sweating, but so did the WS-5s (for me). But other than the WS-5s I haven't used any other headphones for the Deus, so I can't comment on how they compare. I do have the WS-4 setup, but haven't used them. Next time out, I'll try to remember to try them out and report back, but at first glance they seem to be a bit flimsy and may not stay in place on my noggin.

You might want to read the reviews on the "Vance" headphones that are custom made just for the Deus !

I think the tones are fine on the WS4 and they are much more comfortable to wear than any full headphones in my opinion. I'm usually out in the woods detecting so background noise is not an issue however. So if you are trying to hear those faint whispers in an area with a lot of background noise, you may want something other than the WS4s.
