These were Moded by Joe Preast aka OldeBeechNut....included is the female Ikelite end cap for the Excal....these are so sensitive that you will only have to turn your volume control up 1/2 way .

I'd take them if they had a volume control, like the Amphibian, so I could run the volume high on the Excal and adjust it on the headphones. That's a nice set-up, Joe does great work.

The male Excal End Cap that is pictured will only work on the 1000 & 800 models...it will not work on the new Excal II's...the headphones will work on the Excal II but you will need a moded end cap for the Excal II....sorry for all the confusion..

Are these waterproof to a level suitable for diving? (Under 30ft) I may be interested if they are.
I think the wiring for the Excal II has an additional yellow wire....the headphone Ikelite connector will screw onto any end cap you just have to have the right wiring on the male Ikelite end cap...I only hunt wading no diving so I did not ask OBN...but OldBeechnut would know the answer to both these questions......

I think these are best for wading and an occasional dip in the water. Diving I would say no. I would highly recommend the New Gray Ghost Amphibians for diving, which I'm working on making end caps for them and an install kit, which should take less then 10 minutes.
