GraveDiggerMax's 7-22 video identifies his new Grey Ghost Underwater Headphones do not turn off the external speaker.

It just seems too difficult to find phones (underwater or regular) that work as intended. Digger shows in the subject video at approx the 2:30 second mark, that his new Grey Ghost Underwater Headphones do not turn off the external speaker. Can any of the manufacturers please address if their phones work correctly on the CTX 3030 (which is the only detector I know of that has these types of issues).

I guess Minelab feels that headphone manufacturers need to build phones that work for the CTX (and then I assume they would not function on any other detector properly?). This seems like a mess to me.

Thanks for any feedback.

My new gray ghosts are NOT the WaterProofed model....
Mine are standard Original gray ghost...not waterproofed , but have waterproof plug ADDED....so I can use in the water.

Flipped switch they work ok....Swiitch on phones

Sorry Max. I apologize for miss stating the facts. I saw they were plugged into the waterproof connection and thought they were the new waterproof phones.

I would remove the post if I could. Can the moderator please remove this post?

Again, I apologize.

Why wasn't the switch removed when the waterproof plug was installed? After the mod the GG headphones can only be used for the CTX. I think the rush to get them out neglected this.

Please read GravediggerMax's reply again. He stated that these were land version GG with a waterproof connector added, which is not the same as the ones offered by the other vendors.

Yes - it looks like Max wanted REGULAR LAND Gray Ghost Originals and had the CTX waterproof plug added - to each his own - if that's what he likes......he's MAX.........he can do what he wants!!!

Especially in the LANE - go get us some GOLD Max........

I have read Max's reply.
Are modified land version GG phones for the CTX going to be sold?
If so, and again, why didn't the mod include removal of the switch?

why is this so hard to understand.

i wanted gray ghost originals with the volume control and the switch with ctx waterproof plug AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE
.
.
The waterproof gray ghost have nothing, only 4 drain holes for water to enter and exit.

CAN THE O R I G I N A L S BE BOUGHT WITH CTX CONNECTOR - I can not answer that question - IF THE ANSWER COMES BACK Y E S, THEN I MAY EVEN BUY OR SEND IN MY JOLLY ROGERS AND HAVE ADD THE CTX PLUG TO THOSE.
