I know many will not comment on this post if any but I am SO looking forward to my short 5 day stay in the states starting the end of this month.

"Dig" of course is awesome and has offered to hang with me a bit on my trip to Tampa area. I am looking forward to that. As well as some people on this forum and others that have contacted me before their visit here on island and I have done the same.

I guess the point to this whole post is that I have been MD'ing everyday lately and haven't found that much. 3 weeks to be exact. 1 Paldium ring. Nice find but not gold or plat.

I am not planning on coming home and finding much either, just looking forward to getting off this rock for a few days. I am originally from Fl. So to come back is ALWAYS nice. Wal-mart, Publix, Waffle House, McDonald's and of course Krispy Kream are always places of interest to us when we come home as we do not have that here.

Just so some of you out there realize that living in paradise isn't always paradise! There is a price....I am still paying $6 U.S. a gallon for gas, $3 U.S. for a bag of ice and $3 dollars for a loaf of bread. Seriously I should become a gardener/farmer. It's not like there's not enough chickens running around here I could stop buying eggs and start eating A LOT of chicken.

Like i said, not sure about this post....just thought I would throw it out there since I have no gold to show and didn't want you guys to forget me.

I would also like to say thanks to OldBeachNut for helping make the decision AND help, IF I decide to change out to a W.O.T. coil.I have noticed more people/vistors in the past 4 years MD'ing than before, so I need to get a leg up if I want to pull more rings this year that last....know what I mean?

Later,
Chris

If your gonna eat at a Waffle House in the morning before you hit the beach, make sure you stay close to the restrooms for a while, or at least wear baggy trunks!

I'm looking forward to your visit as well. It will be fun to do a little hunting together!

No use going hunting for at least a year at that beach. Wiped out! Good luck to you guys.

A Change is as good as a rest.

Always nice for a little change in scenery. It either makes you appreciate what you already have, or know that there is better out there.

Perhaps a little change in your island routine is past due. If you've been doing wading, wet and dry sand, perhaps it's time for a little deeper water and snorkeling??

Good luck hanging with Dig, sure he'll hook you up with some fine places during Spring Break.

I finished 7 years as an expat in Bermuda last year and went globe trotting. There is something about being cooped up on a small island with nothing around your for miles and miles but water, sure it's paradise but it's not everybody's paradise. I would lose a third of my new hires in the first 6 months and a third of my old hands after 2 years because of 'rock fever' as we called it in Bermuda.

Enjoy your time stateside and good hunting to you,

BDA:cool:

PS It is hard for mainlanders to understand where you are coming from because they haven't done the expat thing but I know exactly what you are talking about.

DUDE,

Where the F@#! have you been. I was wondering about you. You were posting as much gold and more than the rest of us then you just disappeared. Thought maybe your wife had finished and you guys went back to Canada Ehh? But figured you would have still been on the forum even if you weren't hunting. Either way, glad to see your back and didn't go missing in that triangle...

Chris

We've put over 36,000 km under our keels since we left Bermuda last year, makes for a very busy life. I try to stay in touch but I don't always have internet in south america.
