GRANGE HALLS

I have hunted a couple. They can be hit or miss as some got pounded in the early years. Hunted one a couple years ago located along a main road that still had some coins. Mostly Indian heads. Odd thing was my buddy and I found several of the old Merry Widows condom tins out back! Well... maybe not to odd. ;)

It appears i can't spell! Not a whole lot of people MDing around here so it might be worth a try.

Yep, and many of them have really produced. Just remember that they are private property and always get permission from the current Grange Master to hunt the grounds. One thing I have noticed is that if I can find the old parking lot it is usually loaded with old beer bottle caps and silver coins are abundent in and around them. Apparently the 40's and 50's were the real heyday's for the partying aspect of it. In the rural areas this was the big event for dances and potlucks and sports were a mainstay also.
Happy Hunting JB

I did a grange a few months ago.
Not sure if this is normal for ole grange halls elsewhere but this one had been the site of many, many summer evening beer can openings.
Ya may have to bite the bullet and disc out the pull tabs if you wanna do more than cover a one square foot patch.
Good luck to ya.

Getting good at weeding my way through the pull tabs.Have been hunting a county park that was a ccc camp back during the Tillamook burn, and it also had an old logging camp on it.This park get used a lot during the holidays and hunting season. It's really unbelievable whats in the ground at this place. Thanks for looking!
