Grand Master Hunter CX Plus vs Grand Master Hunter CX 111

It may have been answered already some time back but I was wondering if anyone could tell me which has better detection depth and id accuracy, the Grand Master Hunter CX Plus or the Grand Master Hunter CX 111 with Power Master Circuitry?

I've had a CX Plus for some time but my first intention was to buy a CX 111 but Garrett had stopped making them at the time and Kellycodetectors didn't have any in stock. It still bugging me after all this time  Please, help.

Thanks, Ernie

I am selling my CXIII on ebay right now for precisely the reason you are considering buying it. Mine does not have the Power Master circuitry and my range on pennies is about 4 inches, quarters up to six. I think the Power Master claims 20% more depth which would give you 7 on a quarter. I am finding coins much deeper with the ACE 250, some as deep as 10 inches. I am going to miss a lot of the features on the CXIII, but after 6 months of using both I cannot justify keeping the CXIII. I hope to save up for a higher end Garrett by the end of the year. The clad is beginning to add up!!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I saw your CX111 on ebay... its pretty much a bitting war. Are you serious about the Ace 250? The is crazy:surprised:

I got the ACE used back in April. I thought the best test would be to take it to a place I had hunted before. It used to give up silver, but lately had not. Within minutes of turning the on switch of the ACE, I had one 1903 Barber and one 1959 quarter. Both were below the range of the CXIII.

Don't get me wrong, the CXIII goes very deep in Non-motion All Metal, but not in Discriminate mode. I found it very unpractical to hunt in ALL METAL mode.
