Grand Master hunter CX III

cx3

New member
I was detecting around my yard today, just messing with the different settings on the detector and checking the performance since I had the cx3 tuned up when I got a good signal that read one notch below pull tab. I thought thats probably just a tab as the CX3 says. I then checked the depth and it read 4". Well I decided to dig and see how well centered the tab would be in the plug, just checking my pinpointing skills. When I got the plug out of the ground the tab was well centered in the plug, but as I looked closer I noticed that it appeared to be an awfully heavy tab. I plucked it out of the plug and to my disbelief it was a heavy 14k white gold wedding band. This is the first ring I have found in quite a while, it felt good. I couldnt believe I found a ring in my yard, I have lived here for 6 years and have gone over the yard with a number of detectors and dont remember detecting this target before. Now that I think of it I have hit several more signals in my yard that read tab but I didnt mess with them, I guess I probably better go back and check some of the other tab readings I have got over the years. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will post tomorrow. Best of luck to all.

I have my CX III about a month now, but I have not gotten out much with it yet. Within 5 minutes of owning it I found a silver 1956 Rosie in my yard, which I had been over many times with my old Whites.

I hope I have the same luck as you!
