GPX 5000 ?

I notice there is no forum for the GPX 5000 which I am doing a little research on as I may have a chance to get to AZ and to do some prospecting.

Anyone know where I can find some users and do a little learning?

Maybe Google/contact Gerry's detectors in Idaho. I believe they rent machines and do guided nugget hunting. They are a Minelab dealer and I've heard they are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I understand that the GPX 5000 was made for gold hunting but ...
not sure if it's true or not - but I read some where that these machines can hit a Dime at 18" !

Here are three of the most popular nugget hunting forums where most guys/gals use the Minelab GP/GPX machines. There is also a sub forum on this board under "SD,GP and GPX classroom", scroll down a bit and you will find it. Nugget Hunting is probably the hardest way to find gold but is very rewarding when you find a big chunk of gold. Looking for gold with a metal detector is my passion but I use my Etrac around town when not able to get to the goldfields.
