GPX-4500 area of the board?

Hi folks.. I don't see a dedicated Minelab GPX-4500 detector section of the site like I do an E-Trac, X-terra etc... the closest I see is this board or maybe the Excalibur board... Is there one for 4500 owners?

Cheers
Jennifer

nope but i wish there was a 4500 site or gpx site ,,,,

Me too... I'm never sure where to put my posts..... oh well.

I noticed this last year. At the very least, a GPX thread forum.

This is a detector which has a large following and plenty of related accessories.
Kind of puzzling why there's no support here.

I vote for adding a GPX forum!

Thirded but I reckon firsted cus I did the original post. :wiggle: I figured it never hurts to ask, I got us a Canadian forum area on minelab owners dot com forums that way.. keeping fingers crossed that it works here.

I wrote and asked the guys who run the board here and they said there was a PI forum already and that this would be enough.

Since PI detectors like Garrett's rather ancient "Infinium" get their own forum area, I suspect something else is going on here.

Detectors like the Minelab GPXs are in a world of their own. Nothing comes close and their technology includes MPS, SETA and DV technology.... NONE of which I see on other detectors. With Europeans using them for Coin & Treasure hordes and Australians, Kiwis and Americans using them for professional Gold hunting, this is quite disappointing. There's a lot of board members complaining and posting questions in the wrong areas... only to have their posts moved elsewhere. The only reason not to create a forum dedicated to GPX owners here is if other manufacturers have an issue with it or hold too much sway over the boards... and that's certainly how things look from here.

Feel free to write a quick message to Admin to request a forum for Minelab Pulse Induction (GP GPS GPX) detectors. Perhaps if more than a few of us ask, they'll do something about it. It's quite a shame if this delay is due to politics. I hope that's not the case.

Cheers,

Marco

Birthday coming up in Sept. Luckily my cd matures at the same time planning on a GPX -4500 for my birthday gift. Would like to see a 4500 forum!!!!!!!!!! Drove to AZO outing at Stanton this year 1700 miles bad weather on the way got there as they were breaking camp getting ready to leave. Just a little late. Will get there earlier next year will take a new 4500 with me if all works out all right and camp out there for a week. Had enough vacation time to stay out there a few days then turn around and go back to work what a bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! H.H. Gary

Hmmm very interesting.. I reckon they must want people to go to m-i-n-e-l-a-b-o-w-n-e-r-s d-o-t --- c-o-m for their Minelab PI forum needs then.

sigh... censorship can be such a wonderful thing.....

I was on the previously mentioned site, noticed no Canadian forum asked if we could have one and it was added within a couple hours.... :)
