GPS Track Recording is always cut short

I've noticed that on the past several hunts, that my GPS trails do not show the entire track. I do not turn the machine off, and the signal is not lost. Evidently, track recording is turning off by itself. My Findpoints are recorded where the track should have been. My estimate is that on a long hunt that only about 1/4 of the trail is recorded. The GPS tracks recorded on my Smart Phone using Backcountry Navigator records flawless and has never lost signal or turned itself off. This is getting very annoying; any ideas?
