That is GP,(Gold Plated) But it not too bad looking ,,considering.

I found it in a field out in the middle of nowhere,and it was at least 8" deep. I believe it to be old.
 
That is really an attractive ring
 
it looks like it was a man's ring because of the thickness of the band, also the blank front plate hints at the fact that it was a ring for engraving and had some what of a sentimental value to the individual who lost it most likely based upon the design that it has
