This actually happened to a guy who owned a butcher shop in FT Worth. His loading dock didn't have a railing around it. OSHA told him it had to have a railing for safety reasons, so he put up a railing. The local Health Department then wrote him up for having the railing because if meat being unloaded came in contact with the railing it would be contaminated. He took the railing down. OSHA wrote him up for safety violation--no railing. He explained that the Health people made him take it down for santation reasons. OSHA still wrote him up, so he replaced the railing. The Health people wrote him up for sanitation violation--the railing. He explained that OSHA make him put the railing up for safety reasons. The Health people still wrote him up. He had the loading dock bulldozed. All meat now comes in thru the front door.
