I have found one of those also John. This past Feb when I was down in Calif with my bro I found one at a beach park. Also no penny in it but I found a wheatie about 5 feet away that seemed to fit just right. You'll find yours too...

Some have Indian pennies and Buffalo nickels. I saw on on Ebay sometime back with a $1 gold coin. Just type Encased Coins in the search box.

I put the 1939 penny I found in the Good Luck charm. If you look on ebay under Encased Coins you will see a lot whit wheat pennies. I put the penny in the freezer to shrink it and heated the charm. I put it on a piece of oak and smacked it in with an oak dowel. Then I put it between to pieces of oak and flattened it back out. When I found it it was bent and without a coin. I figure a kid probably popped it out. Back then a penny could buy something.
