Most of the areas I hunt are trashy. (schools, parks, etc;) Would it be better to buy a 5" Scorcher coil, or just buy a little 250 yeller feller? My brother and two other friends I detect with just absolutely wear me out with the Ace 250's. Gotta have some help NOW!!!!

Judging from your asking about a "Scorcher" coil, I'm assuming you must be using one of the GTI's. While I really don't have a lot of experience with the 5" coil on my GTI 2500 (I borrowed a friend's for about a week of which I was weathered out for about 5 days worth  ), I absolutely love my 5x10 elliptical coil for use in trashy areas. You get great target separation, good depth and acceptable target ID. You can't get as close to playground equipment as you can with the 5" concentric, but you can sure as heck cover a LOT more ground. I use the 5x10 on my GTI way more than any other coil or even combination of coils - I also have the stock 9.5" and 12" imaging and the 12.5" non-imaging coil.

That's my two bits - for what they're worth.

...get the Ace 250 and the 4.5 inch coil along with. Great backup, light weight, tons of fun and perfect for the environment you mentioned.

Im a frim believer in that you cant have too many detectors.
