And here are the goodies. A pistol ball (looking old like the ones I find in CW fighting fields), some old looking bullet, some kind of brass ringlets , some clad, 42 + 57 nickel, 1930 wheatie, and the 03 V nickel. Always stoked to find these old coins!
The ring was fairly tight on the 54 TID. why? Because it was 3 inches down. The V nickel was tight at 56/57. Again, 3 inches down.
Now here's what I didn't do. I didn't dig anything in the 60s and 70s. Did I miss anything, I'm not not sure. But, I didn't Dig anything more than just the first dirt clod on anything that bounced around too much. The 82/83 would yield the pennies, but would also yield the aluminum screw caps.

and as to the other high tones 82+ BOUNCY signals, well, you could almost HEAR the hollowness of the aluminum pieces, if that makes sense.
Now the 51-55 TID gave me lots of grief. Occasionally 48 up to 54 bouncy signals always produced the old beaver tail pieces our beaver tails curled under the triangle tab. And sometimes, even doing the "PINPOINT AND THEN PULLBACK METHOD" would not fade off in sound, but would drop off, so it "SOUNDED" LIKE A GOOD SIGNAL!
SO WHY DIG THEM? I'm sitting on the deck this morning before church, drinking coffee, and wondering this myself! But I kept thinking to myself, well, "maybe they are nickels or gold, just surrounded by trash..." Well, they weren't. They were always these beavertail pieces.
I guess I need to break the mold of "years of maybe 2nd guessing/questioning the machine" ...because in years gone by, previous machines would reward you with a "goodie" at times when you would 2nd guess the machine, or dig the questionable tones/signals.
I'm sure the same holds for any machine, but am seeing that with the CoRe, this 2nd guessing/questioning what it is telling US is futile at best. why? Because each "KEEPER" shown in the above picture, was TIGHT visually and audibly. Not a 2nd guesser
