I hit 3 different locations......#1 I dug 3 coins, #2 I got Skunked  and #3 I got 3 coins. My last location....#3 had a Loonie (2 dollar coin) which was still in the ground about 1/2" which I managed to dig out with not too much hard sweat.

Here's the totals for the day. Not too bad......beats sitting in front of a television getting brain damaged.

Cool finds in the cold weather John.

I would have to say if anyone needs tips or just a cheering section
for metal detecting in the frigid cold they should seek you first. John
maybe you could stress to the younger hobbyists the danger in setting
out on there own in these temps. and how easy it is to get hypothermia.
I know you know what your doing and I celebrate that and congratulations
by the way on finds but some of the younger people being so enthusiastic
may not take the necessary precautions when setting out on this type of
adventure they may remember the pro pointer but the might forget the hat
or the gloves or the layers. George Schilling

I hunt in the city only when it gets extremely gold, so my warm car or public buildings are close by. I would not travel far away from home under extreme conditions, unless I brough a hunting buddy along. But you are right, hypothermia along with frostbite are always something to think about when winter hunting.
