Got to use the F-75 a little today

Still in the learning stage yet and sure seem to find a lot of pieces of tin cans that sure sound good.
Anyway tried this lot I had permission for and thought it might be good, but my find were only 1 wheat penny and a new quarter plus some misc that was not all bad. I ran disc at 5 with BC mode and the delta pitch for the tones. The ground balance was changing as one time it was 44 and the next it was 65 so I fast grab a few times and even went and raised the ground balance by 2.
First signal was the sterling silver bracelet that was disconnected on one side that was around 8 inches deep along a side walk. This gave a good tone with the meter doing some bouncing around about 4 numbers. The one thing on top I don't know what it is, the ring thing I wonder if it is a drawer pull. Got the screwdriver too that was a little different. I got the one Wheaties and this Roosevelt pin that I cant seem to find another one like it on E Bay and feels it is a Franklin Roosevelt lapel pin. The pin part on back is broken. Anyone else see anything like it.
What I have to do now is take my Sovereign GT or my Explorer SE back to this site and see if it will find anything else.
I tired the 2 tones to see what will happen, but couldn't tell much, so I went to the 3H and found it was OK too, but the Delta pitch seem to work the best for me.
Sure wished I would have found a coin like Bill Ladd did, just once I would like to see a gold coin in the dirt.
I also found out today that buffalo nickle I got the first day out with the F-75 that I thought was a 192? S as I couldnt read the last number is a 1921 S buffalo nickle and a good one.

You say. "... seem to find a lot of pieces of tin cans that sure sound good." What size are the pieces that are giving you good readings? -- Thanks, Bob

Bob,

They seem to be from the size of a penny to probably a little bigger than a silver dollar. I seen several today that really locked on nice too on the numbers plus some of the rusty bottle caps.I think once I use it more I should be able to tell the difference.
