Got to the beach with my V3 :clapping:

Jason in TN

New member
Got down to the Outer Banks a little late for low tide but had to take the V3 that I had replaced because mine was acting up in the salt mode. Decided to try the stock coil DD and see how that worked out. It was much better than my old one only hunted about a hour as I had a long drive today. It ran good in the salt much better than my old one. Will do some more hunting tomorrow and let you know how things go. Would like to say thanks to the folks at Whites one more time for taking care of me when I had a problem. Was very pleased with there customer service.

Jason good to hear your new machine is working better for ya. I was on our DE beaches today using a V nulled 950 ..... man can you really crank that thing up on our beaches and still be stable. I was running RX at 15, TX on, AC@ 88, and Disc at 85 on the salt program. Depth was sick at those settings. If you have access to a V nulled 950 give her a try..........

Glad to hear that your problem was taken care of. I have the same problem and called White's yesterday and still haven't heard from them. the only response I got was from ak 1234. I only got recorded message to leave my phone no. That was about 2:30 pm Pacific time.

Finally got thru to White's and I'm glad to say Steve Howard took care of my problem. There seems to be a problem with the phone no. that I was calling.
Thanks Steve and White's for your great customer service.

Jim,

Thanks for the information . . . . . I hope you mean you are getting great depth not bad depth by "sick" . . . . . I assume the 950 is working well on your beaches. Plan on trying a 950 coil with a friend of mine's V3 this weekend in Charleston

Andy yes on the depth .... several times I would get a solid hit and pinpoint it at dbl bar ( -- -- ) then scoop out a section and it would read 10-11". The targets were nickels.

It was running so hot, but stable, several signals that were hit were 12" or more outside of my swing area when I pinpointed them. I was sure that I was going to find some gold jewelry yesterday but it just wasn't out there or my coil didn't get within 12" of it. I really feel this recession has altered what people are wearing on the beaches this year. I have only heard of 2 pieces of jewelry found on DE beaches this year and both of them were out in the water. Several guys I know have just stopped traveling to the beaches because their finds here have only been clad. As you know clad to a beach hunter is like pulltabs to dirt hunters ...... he are looking for jewelry.
