It was the last day of my first batch of holidays, and it just poured buckets for most of the day. However, at 4 PM, it stopped, so I grabbed my AT Pro and water gear and headed for a lake. Got some loot, some bling and a 14 k gold ring. Also got a 1947 penny with a maple leaf beside the "7"..... signifying these coins were actually struck in 1948. Weird eh?

Below is yours truly, proudly displaying a nice gold ring. :)

Good on the gold and other items.:clapping:

Nice ring John. Looks like you had a nice vacation. That is quite a handle you have on your scoop. Something you crafted?

Jerry

The handle is off a wheel-barrow. Luckily it's made out of wood & floats, as it is quite heavy. On the plus side, every time I water hunt, I am lifting weights. :)

Thats funny John. i had pictured you in my mind with one arm as an interchangeable metal detector and the other as a scoop or digging tool.
I'm so glad to see that you are made of the same flesh, bone and goofy (just found gold) smile as the rest of us.
Inspiring.

Is that scoop what they call the Monster Scoop? The price on those things make me wish I had taken a sheet metal class in high school.
Nice finds as usual. I went to a local water park yesterday and after I got there and got my GTI-2500 out, I realized I had left my pouch and digging tools at home and it really spoiled my day. It was the first time I had felt like doing some serious metal detecting since April and I was really angry at myself. I got out about two weeks ago for about 30 minutes and had to give it up due to my back and the heat and found 12 cents. I was really looking forward to doing some water hunting, even if it was shallow water.
I would like to have an AT-Pro for deeper hunting, but since I hardly get to metal detect at all these days, I just can't justify the expense. HH.

That's the monster scoop. The price wasn't too bad, as long as I just ordered the scoop. shipping it with the pole would have really cost a bundle. But, I pretty well get my target first time and win lots of arm wrestling contests.

Such a cooooooooooool ring found in the hoooooooooooooot sun. Nice!

Chris

Do any of our sponsors carry that scoop. I looked on kellyco and reilly's and did not see it.
