Got to go in Thursday for another stinking test - an endoscopy which is a colonoscopy in reverse. I hate..

I hope it goes well Bill. I can relate to that. I had both upper and lower scope exams done the same day in June and intestinal surgery a day later.

Good Luck

What did they find and what did they whack out of you? How was that upper exam, easy or not? Hope you came out a winner.

The exams were the easy part since I was out for all of it. They were looking for the source of internal bleeding which was in the lower tract. Long story short, they removed 8 inches of intestine. I missed a good part of the metal detecting season because of that but am feeling good now.

Bill I wish you the best on the results of your test. Just pretend you are drinking pina-coladas. Turn it up and down it. Christians are'nt lucky they are blessed I will be praying for you.

Hey Bill,

It's not that bad. Hopefully they have the new stuff to drink. It is not as bad as the old. In 2008 I had 2 full colonoscopys, 2 endoscopys. (One was an ultrasound of gallbladder from the inside) a capsule endoscopy, and the one they only go halfway up your tail. Plus 3 CT's in 3 months. I was definitely cleaned out lol. September 2008 they took 55% percent of my liver that carcinoid cancer had destroyed. I am in a cancer trial and doing well. Last November 2009 they said I had about 24 months before another inoperable tumor in my throat would start choking me if it didn't wipe out a heart valve first. Now almost 1/2 of the tumor has shrunk and I am feeling good after 6 months of chemo. I have started detecting again recently and it feels so good!!! So far I have made lemonade out of the lemons I have been given.

If my cancer had been caught earlier I had a good chance of cure. Now cure is out and I hear pallitive treatment and make him comfortable as you can. I'm going to fool them. I'm gonna make it! I hope to be here 10 years from now still typing and detecting

Please people DON'T put off tests you should get as you age. They can save your life.

Good luck Bill

You are so right Blacktoe...The tests are nothing. Not having the test could be everything !!
