Got this button Sunday at a golf course that was a farm many years ago.

Turns out to be a pewter cast Infantry button.
It gave a very low ID reading on my detector ( below nickel reading ) , but was only about 2 inches in the ground.
Got me curious what else is in there now after finding this.

You say you got it on a golf course? How'd you get permission for that!!?

It is temporarolly closed due to some road construction nearby that has taken out some of the golfing areas.
The folks that keep an eye on the place are pretty easy going and after I told them of the research and findings on the history of the site, they are curious of what I find there.
It is not a manicured golf course, but I still am careful about going in there during dry conditons and keeping digging to a minimum.
After some of the nice finds I have made here, I sure don't want to get kicked out.
