Got the XL Pro

Bowie

New member
I posted in the analog forum but it seems lifeless. I gotta talk about my new addition. I run up on a deal on a XL Pro,came with the 9.5 and 8 inch coil. Looks brand new,not a scratch anywhere on the machine, rods or 9.5 coil. I think something is wrong with the 8 inch coil tho.
Ordered the 5.3 and used it for a couple hours yesterday between rains and really like that coil on the Pro. I dug several pennies at 8 inches with it yesterday. Was hunting along the bank of a river that runs thru our town next to an old rodeo/riding club arena which was removed back in the 70s.
I could crank up the signal while using the 5.3. Im gonna go back to that spot with the 8 inch coil and it give it another try as the trash wasnt bad at all. The only thing about that site is/was it floods during spring and winter rains and because of that there was a lot of dirt work in and around the old arena. Found beaver tail tabs at 8 inches also.
Well Im excited, like a kid, this is my Christmas present. Wife cant understand why I would want a used detector for Christmas, lol.
I have an M6 but I can see it taking a back seat already. Gonna have to be a really nasty spot for it to get some use.
Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas,
John
