Got the Urge---

To spend a few bucks on a new or used machine. I'm looking for a good Pantera possibly or the original Eldorado. I have thought about this new Tejon, but I get too much mixed and conflicting information. Some say its great amongst iron for coins and relics and others say just the opposite. The same controversey goes round and round about super depth. Can someone please give me some accurate information. My soil is mostly pretty mild, but it can also get pretty mineralized depending where I go. Thanks for any help....Jimmy

I like the Pantera over the Tejon when hunting areas with very heavy iron concentrations. No, the Pantera doesn't get the same depth but runs a lot smoother. If I got another Tejon I'd buy the small coil for it.

The Tejon is great in the trash. If its not working well for somebody they prolly don't have it G/B properly. The Tejon is fussy on G/B.
I have picked out Large cents with iron in the same hole. I was using the stock coil. I now have the 5.75 coil and it is AWESOMe in those trashy home sites.
Please feel free to E mail me if I can help.

Think I'll stick with a Pantera or Elderado. Thanks again

I use White's and Fishers detectors but I know of a guy that use that new Tejon and the blasted unit is a deep coin getter. The Tejon is deeper then my White's XL PRO AND Fisher 1266X.You need to play with one.I will add one to my list of detectors.
Tesoro has a winner with this one. <IMG SRC="/metal/html/tesoro.gif" BORDER=0 width=45 height=18 ALT="t~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/whites.jpg" BORDER=0 width=29 height=18 ALT="w~"> May the pulltabs rule.Swang low dig deep.
