Got the sniper coil for the 250 tonight

Put it on and headed for the front yard.. Y'all know I done check it all before. First hit was right up next to the porch-- a 1964 Canadian Penny. pretty unique for this far south. That coil sure is sturdy built. Any tips on pinpointing with it? How the depth vs. the stock coil.

Thanks

Mike

Be careful with that snipper!

Your typo reminds me of an advertisement I ran a few years back for a hair salon called Snippers. It accidentally got printed Sniper's in the phone book. Needless to say, the business owner was not happy.

Pinpoints at the X in the middle of the coil.
With my 250, I probably average 7-8 inches on a quarter
if the sens is up fairly high.
With the sniper this might drop to 5-6 inches.
But that is still good for a 4.5 inch coil, and the sniper
hits hard at most depths. You will like it.
I probably get about 10-11 inches on the same coin
with the 9x12. But for a trashy or busy area, I'd rather
use the sniper. BTW, the ID should hit the same, but
the depth indicator may be off a bit. Some estimate
that you should divide the reading in half when using
the sniper vs the stock coil. IE: if it's reading 4 inches,
it's probably closer to 2 inches.

Thanks Neil,

I fixed my "P" problem..... Thanks MK I am heading out the door right now to run that coil over an area that I have hunted to death with 3 other detectors. We shall see.
