Got the Nox wet

I wasn't hurting too much this morning so I took the 800 out for a little water hunting. The best find today was a silver ring with what I think is an Amethyst center stone and 14 small diamonds(7 either side) they tested positive with my diamond tester.. The gold rings are still hiding there awaiting on me..

I have used mine several times in the water and done fairly good, but water has gotten inside and now it wont even turn on. Checked the cap where the headphones go and it was tight--sending it back to minelab today--they didn't seem at all surprised and didn't question anything when I talked to them. They said they will send a replacement as soon as the old one arrives. Love the machine but needless to say I'm disappointed. The control box was never even fully submerged--I haven't been able to locate waterproof headphones so I haven't been working past waist deep water.

Good to go! I have yet to find a gold ring with it but I purchased my first water scoop from a guy on eBay that said he's found a lot of gold rings with it but he had several other scoops and he was looking to get rid of at least one. Perhaps it will be a lucky scoop ;-)
