got it around 7:30 PM,put it together 3 things i don't like abut it,1.is the control box connector putting the cable to it very hard for a guy with big hands 2. place for the headphones, this as been talked about on all prizms. 3.putting the battery box in,I had a very hard time getting it to lock in place.i do like the feel of it and the weight is great.Going out tomorrow to a few places i know off and see what happens, will update tomorrow.

Looking forward on your finds and evaluation of the detector...

1.is the control box connector putting the cable to it very hard for a guy with big hands

I agree, that was an ergonomics error on out part. Our mechanical designer is usually top notch, but this one got by. Won't happen again.

2. place for the headphones, this as been talked about on all prizms.

Yup, we were kinda stuck with that, per previous Prizms.

3.putting the battery box in,I had a very hard time getting it to lock in place.

Do a free drop, or just smack it. It'll lock. I agree it's a bit tight.

Thanks for the feedback!

OK Guys, didn't get to stay out as long as i wanted to 30 minutes. my very first hit was a vdi lock on 46 @ 5 inches down
under the zinc icon,it was a nice little medallion for a neckless said class of 2005.next was a quarter @ 3 inches vdi # was 81 82,next was a dime vdi # 72 73,and the last one was a penny vdi # was mostly 71 but did jump around to 72.did not fine any nickels,am not much at writing a review but i think am going to like this little prizm. all these where found in a park with some pretty hard ground.HH

How is the target response time compared to the other prizms? Is it faster?

[size=large]It does respond faster than the rest of the Prizm series. That was realized with the stock 9" spider coil and I'm sure it will be a delight to use with a smaller coil (when they get them in the loop).

Took mine to the beach (Ocean Shores ,Wa.) salt and black sand didn't give any trouble at all. Found a pocket full of change no silver or gold this time. Crush and buried pop cans showed up as a copper penny with a huge foot print and usually went into overload.Got that down pat fast. Over all did very well.I have taken it other places and have noticed copper pennies are not as deep as the vdi says, but I also don't see that as a problem. the I.D. on coins has been dead on every time, and has good depth. I'm very pleased with this detector. It fills a gap between to over machines very well. good job Whites. A happy Owner.
