I hunted an area that I have pounded with a lot of machines and dug just one signal. It turned out to be a shot gun brass, but I was pleased that I heard it, pinpointed it, and dug it. Didn't last long in the cold but went out again to a very wet farm field. Again, I have hammered this place and I dug a piece of a harmonica reed, a piece of a bell, and a nice chunk of lead. I am strictly hunting in the turn on and go mode and so far I am encouraged. I plan to stick with turn on and go for a while. When I get brave and daring and want to change things, what suggestions do you have?

As Doug pointed out...get Andy's book for starters.

There are many proven methods and settings to try,,,from Conductive sounds w/ Iron mask...to Ferrous sounds/open screen.

No right or wrong way...only the way that works best for each of us as individuals.
