Talked to bill today he got it fixed ,and it was 60.00 total even thou it was about three weeks i would still buy a minelabe as it is the deepest machine i ever owned i really like the 5khz it punches thru minearalized ground WELL i can get a buried dime in my bad ground at 10" and a quarter at 11" that just amazes me i probly could have returned it for a vaquero but i just felt like i would not have been happy so i wanted to fix it this things going to do very well , once you tasted minelabe your hooked at least I am so the coustomer sevice is slow just get a back up machine later Gunnar MN

there's goodies waiting for you in the ground..........

Just got finished adding lots of Musketeer info at the Minelab Musketeers group website.
Still looking for any advertising catalog sheets of the Musketeer X, Tribune, Sterling, Colt, Musky XS.
Like to gt them posted. So far all owners manuals have been found and posted. Added your Musky video, too.

Still trying to work out a deal on a Musketeer for myself, miss having one. Until then I'll use
my Sterling, on it's way from my parents house in NY. Hope to have it here next week.

Happy Hunting
Sven

Actually, 3 weeks is not to bad. I never did get an answer from them about the coil on my Advantage but I'm going to go ahead send it in with the control box and have them fix it and maybe get a tuneup also. I would be happy with 3 weeks plus it's not like I don't have other detectors to use. I just picked up a nice Sun Ray Intruder S-8 for my Elite for some woods hunting. I think the Elite and the Advantage make a good combo.

I am glad it is fixed Gunnar!.If you don't have a hip bag and web belt gunnar check them out.Even if you don't hip mount, the bag will protect the control box from bumps, dirt, moisture etc..The Musketeer is heavy, hip mounting takes a lot of that weight off of your arm.Fix it up Gunnar and take good care of it,there is a good selection of coils for the Musketeer.Don't be afraid of using that disc, that is what it is for.I will not get rid of mine for nothing,i know what it will do.A friend came over and we went hunting at a new spot last month at a river site.I found a colonial button in ten minutes starting with the musketeer! Then two musket balls!,It is a great relic detector also.Good luck to you Gunnar.

I have some good spots picked out , one thing i like about the 10" coil is i do not lose coverage whith depth thats another incredible thing about minelab whith my other detectors the deeper coins i could only get in the middle of the coil well whith the musketeer i get a 10" buried dime from tip to tip thats exelent coverage like i say I,m spoiled but i would like to try a fisher F 75 or tecknetics T2 and for parks a fisher F4 would be intresting and someday the sov GT

end of next month, will have a Musketeer to compliment my Sterling.

For those interested, I now have pictures of the Sterling, green box Tribune and Musky X on my website.
At the Minelab Musketeers site have added a small pix of he blue box Musky X.
