Went back where I was imitating a ground hog the night before. This time the targets were fewer and a little lower down the slope and "deeeep". I've been after a nice chain as one of my summer goals, and right into the hunt I got this beauty at about 11". My deli man put it on his scale and said it was 45 grams(or grains, always get them mixed up) It sounded like a bobbie pin, but thank goodness for the AquaStar's concentric coil and it's laser pinpointing, so I didn't split it in half.
All targets were in the 12" subsphere,(that's probably not a real word
). Hopefully Va. Bch. Mike can expand 
The monkey is a classic, I laughed all morning after he surfaced. Hit a few lifeguard stands right at dawn and came away with a couple of more cells, sure wish that niche would spill over to some watches, can't seem to come up with a good one yet.
