Got the Itch again !!

Set me straight if you can. I got the itch and I'm scratching like hell at the bit. I'm thinking about buying the Garrett AT Pro. I still like may 705 but you know about the itch. If you have any experience with the At pro can you give me something to go on. Why or why not ??? I know how good the 705 is but !!! The AT pro has a lot of promise. Just your honest opinion. Thanks

(I also put this question on the X-Terra site to get more facts on the two.

After 3 years with the AT Pro, the things I like most about it is that I can tell what I'm digging before I dig it. Well, not 100% of the time, but I'd be willing to bet 90% of the time. The one thing I do not like about it is that it hasn't found me much silver. That said, it may be my fault. I've complained about this before and have been told that if the coil is over the silver, I'll find it. My hearing ain't what it used to be. Even though it's been three years, it hasn't been that many hours, total being about 270. But, this is a fun, fun, fun machine. My ring count is about 30, most from the water but some from the land. And, I don't believe that I'm using the machine to its full potential yet. Some people on this forum have been talking recently of increased depth in the Std Mode which I have used very little of so that needs to be looked into.

Long story short. You're gonna love this machine. And if you don't, put it on EBay and you'll sell it fast for nearly what you paid for it.

Your ring cout is with the AT Pro or the X-Terra and it sounds like your in the water so that's why I'm thinking you are talking about the AT Pro ???

Ive had nothing but a good time with mine and though Ive never had any problems with it, from what i hear Garrett customer service is top notch.

Hey There here is my two scents worth!! I also had been kicking the AT PRO tires so to speak for over a year!! I have really only heard nothing but high marks for the ATP and the Gold. Well I got a nice surprise this past Papas day. My family got Dad an AT PRO!! I have only been a WHITES guy since 1999. I still have an MXT. And actually am trying to sell it right now if anyone knows someone looking. I have been out dirt fishing about 6 times since and once in a small creek that runs through my town. I gotta tell ya. It is very easy to set up and start swinging!! I again don't like to make changes. Here is a case in point where I only regret not doing it a lot earlier!! I live in FLA and am very excited about the versatility of the machine. It is very fast in the processing dept. It definatley lets you know there are targets in the ground. I am going to post some pics soon of my finds. Bottom line Sir/Maam, you won't regret the machine, just do it. I am actually looking to get another AT PRO when I sell my Whites machine.
