Got the GTI 2500 Today

And boy was I surprised. A lot bigger machine than I expected. Looks like a Hi-tect Monster. Lot different than the Ace 250. Guess I'll be readin and swingin a lot trying to learn what it'll do. Don't care much for the talkin part but I never did like cars that talk to ya either. Makes me think their smarter than I am. Took the 2500 out for about a half hour to the local school playground (My personal testing ground) Dug a potted meat can at 4" below the wood chips (In solid ground under the chips). Guess thats an indication that I can find something with it. I'll probably be posting a lot of questions trying to learn this monster. Any tips will be greatly appriciated.

I know what you mean about the talking part. You can turn it off, though. I have mine set so all she says is Power On/Off and any of the other menu items. If I want to hear constant yakking, I'll stay home and hear it from "The One Who Must Be Listened To"!!!

Yeah the 2500 has a bit of a learning curve. You made quite a jump from the 250 to the 2500. Like jumping from a Model-T to a Rolls Royce. :)

I, like you, jumped from the Ace 250 to the GTI 2500. I found the transfer quite easy as most of the settings are the same 'easy to follow' as that of the Ace.
I've had it for 3 months now and have found more going over old ground that I thought I done to death with the Ace......One thing I did find useful is a harness......that weight is a little hard on the arm after an 8 hour session!

Yes, she does go on a bit but, unlike the wife, you can turn this one off

Cant fault the design or the workings and once turned on, its a dream to use......good luck with yours

Dig every target for about the first two months and watch your diplay carefully.....Before you fear all your new adjustments and far out of control you can get them....Remember that you can press and hold the power on button for 10 seconds and return every change back to factory settings anytime you wish...Oh yea and do it often you you got her figured out!
Give yourself about a year of hunting before you give up on her, she'll treat you like a King at times and make you scratch your head at others!

Have fun and good luck you'll do just fine!

Plus you'll get some really great arm muscels on ya bro!

Take the Ace for when you get tired until your arms build up and get use to the extra weight!

You'll get used to it!
