Got the G2 back out today - why did I put it down?

I have been hunting an old site along the river lately. I found my first half dime there just before the relic hunt in Virginia. I took the same detector back out there when I got back and found several small flat buttons but no more coins. I decided to day that the G2 was the perfect thing to try. I wanted to wade right through the iron. I started out with that in mind and dug two or three more flat buttons. I was talking to a friend on the cell when the G2 hit a clear spot in the iron and gave a half dollar signal. I laughed and told him, "I'm pretty sure this won't be a half". It wasn't but I was sure happy to see a large cent. Pretty sure there must be a few more good things hiding out there. Got to get back out before the field gets planted.

That is my other detector, lol. Thanks for the laugh. I can't return it the farm fields are planted now. I guess I can wait for the fall. It will be a bean field then and much easier to decide where to "catch and release" the Large Cent.
