Got the boot in a good way!

Hit the horse property again on Sunday. Hours of digging nothing but trash... On the way back to the car, I finally got a respectable signal of 44/46. This pin is about 3" tall and marked sterling silver. Weighed in at .73 ounces. Not sure if the turquoise is real but it was kind of a fun find! Thanks for looking!

NICE........i bet the stone is good as well.. I couldnt see them putting a junk stone in a big nice silver boot like that..

I think I lost that boot, is it a size 11?

n/t

Nice boot, if you want to check to see if it is real turquoise, get your lips damp and put the stone on your lips, then pull it away and if it tries to stick to it, it is real, if it is glass it will just slide off your lip.
Thanks Bill

Touching my lips to it to see if the stone is real that is, I think I'll let it soak in something antiseptic for awhile. As I mentioned, I have been hunting some horse property. This particular pin was found in an area heavy with "fertilizer" if you know what I mean!

Great find, you find some neat things with metal detectors. Will have to post a pic of a bronze dog i found the other day
