Been out a couple times re-hunting public ground here in Podunk that I've re-re-hunted over and over, etc. etc. No luck in Podunk so on Sunday the sun came out (briefly) and I headed an hour and a half down the road to a small town to check out the school there (1920's-30's ?). Started with the 6" near the main building and popped a couple wheats, some clad, and the buffie @ about 5" down. Next I headed away from the main building and the trash thinned out so I decided to slap on the Ultimate and dug a couple more deep wheats, some clad, and the 8" merc. It was obvious with all the zincs I passed on that the place hasn't been hunted for awhile....left a ton of zincs for the others. After 2 hrs of hunting in a small area (place is BIG) and popping the keepers in a relatively short time I get the feeling the school hasn't been hit with an FBS machine? Looking forward to returning when the weather improves to see if I can find some others the boys have missed.......... It was nice to get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
