Got Sov Elite back from MineLab

For those who remember, I had erratic tones and threshold retention problems. First fix was a threshold capacitor and it went bad again after 3 hours in the field. Well, I just received unit back again and the second fix is a repaired meter. I thought I read somewhere that the meter didn't effect unit performance; it only interprets the signal and converts to a digital reading.... Anyway, I'm moving from Texas to Tennessee in a week and a half so I won't get to run it for a while. I'll post again and let you know how it goes. del.

Repaired the meter????
Guess a bad connection on the signal ground or recieved signal line somewhere between the rear connector and the cable connector . Probably at either connector.

That's my best guess.

Hope that was it.
