Headed out after work to a place that I have hunted before and has usually given up some old coins. Today was another such day. A four hour hunt got 25 coins plus some other goodies.

Three large cents were dug up. They are in poor condition, and are soaking in hydrogen peroxide to get some of that oxide off of them. And a silver dime was a few feet from those large cents.

I got another:

"GOOD FOR ONE CAKE OF PALMOLIVE SOAP FREE WHEN YOU BUY 3 CAKES"

I have previously dug a Palmolive token, only it was round. A nice vintage compact Djer Kiss Kerkoff Paris 1920's-1930's era in good shape also saw the light of day after being buried for many years. After a long day at work, plus another 4 hours hunting, it was time to call it a day!

Very nice John-Edmonton

I was just thinking that the aluminum tokens for products are actually called "product premiums".
They are so cool.
I have only found one in the last several years and it just happens to be like the Palmolive one you found.

TOO MUCH DIRT, NOT ENUFF TIME!

Your Colgate token dates to the 1920's, before Colgate merged with Palmolive Peet. I found a Colgate Palmolive Peet token from the early 1930's, stamped on the same blank as your token, at an old sharecropper homesite. Good finds.

I like finding tokens (old ones) as much as I like finding rings. They are so rare. I actually got some rare tokes a while back...here's an artice on the find.
