Headed out after work for a couple of hours. Got some modern pennies, an intact 38. S&W bullet and an old spent shotgun shell. Must have been a real treat back then with moose, bears and buffalo roaming around.
 
That's some neat old stuff. And that .38 looks weird...never seen one like that, and I carry a 38, lol.
 
It's a 38 S&W, NOT a 38 Special. they are two different rounds, not to be interchanged. But I doubt John would try that.

:confused: Duh, forgot all about those. And I sell guns, lol.
 
D.C.Co (Dominion Cartridge Company) made a lot of ammunition up here in Canada. I find their head stamps on a lot of cartridges, shot shells etc. They must have had the contract for the Winchester 45-75 bottle necked cartridge used by the North West Mounted Police, in their 1876 Winchester lever action rifle. I have found hundreds of these cases with the D.C.Co head stamp.
