Headed out after work for a couple of hours. Got some modern pennies, an intact 38. S&W bullet and an old spent shotgun shell. Must have been a real treat back then with moose, bears and buffalo roaming around.

Whew, that looks like it's and oldie but a goodie. Have you tried to research the manufacturer? Wonder how old it is?

good find.

If you could hit the broad side of a barn, you didn't go hungry when game was plentiful. We have more deer in the state of GA than we know what to do with, but I haven't been able to hunt in many years. Thank goodness for neighbors bringing a little deer meat by now and then. Mama or myself cook some cubed deer steaks and onions and gravy and we cook a pot of rice and eat until we just can't eat anymore. My next favorite meal than that is pasture raised beef liver cooked in lard and onions and gravy. The good Lord sure provides some good food for his children.
