hey guys been swinging my new f70 for a little over a week im really happy with it, went to a local park yesterday got out of my truck turned on the md three swings later got a 85 signal at 6 inches got my fist silver a 1950 quarter so today i went north to another town hit a park ive never been two wow there where coins galore got $ 8.00 in clad and one 1963 silver dime and one 1944 wheat penny. and a 1991 half dollar im really impressed how light and well balanced this md is and the battery life is awsome, sorry about the bad pics my good camara died happy trails

Did that half come in at 91/92? What settings are you running? Thats one great day haul, man. That kind of loot will pay for that F70 in no time, theres just gotta be some jewelry there! 21-29 will be little gold rings, keep digging the nickles, and those upper 30's (pulltabs) too... let me know if you ever find anything worth a tinkers cuss in the 40's...so far I havn't.
Heck, with all that silver, maybe just keep sniping those for a while, what depth was the quarter? I'm excited and very happy for you Ez..WTG!

hey mud the half dollar came in in the low 90s and the ring in the pic i found a few months ago with my ex ace 350 anyway the ring comes in at 45 to 48 on my f70, i have a few smaller gold rings and they read around 30 and 25 thats air testing in the ground could be a little different ive been running disc at 15 sens at 40 to 75 thres at -3 tones at three and 4h . i stopped at a beach the other day and gave it a try well in at mode it was reading every signal at 8 to 12 unless it was shallow then would id more accurate in disc mode i could not get any depth i buryied a nickel at 6 inches and it would not read it. so i did not find much rusty nails and a few pennys . how do you set your ground balance for the beach any tips would be appreciated hh

EZ, Hmmm, I hunt fresh water beach here in Mich, just fire up AT and go...I dont even ground balance, or I switch over to 5 disc, and 70 sens still -3 thresh and dp tones...I get nickles and q's and all sorts of stuff pretty deep, like a foot on the q's, we have black sand at the waters edge that sort of scrambles a signal every now and then, but still got one of those Ephesians silver rings down about 10" I run the volume (power on) knob wide open and fine tune the sound at the earphones...dont know if any of this will help you, but you should be getting greater depth on nickles than that...I carry a lightweight 5" long handled scoop on the beach, and chop at the signal like with an axe, rescan, chop some more...very quick instead of digging with it..bobby pins are 11 on the TID, small fine wire earrings, and big folded knives read pretty low too, so I dont run disc too high on the beach...nails are all like 7-9 Maybe its the volumn control knob? Maybe running it wide open sends deeper target signals better? I dont know for sure...are you on a salt water beach?

thanks bart and mud im on the salt beaches good old pacific ocean beaches lots of black sand ive only tried the dry sand did not get in the wet stuff yet im going back today to try again ill try to give a more detailed account what it is doing thanks hh

Good going on the digs. As Ive mentioned before here on the forum, I am keeping my F70 as a backup for the the LTD. Next week I think Im gonna take the 70 out again for a revisit, it is a good machine, good hunting to you. CO
