I did some searching to see if I could dig up posts from people remarking about the WOT in comparison to the 15x12 or other coils to get the guy some info, and figured rather than just sending it back in a PM it would be helpful posted in the forum for others exploring their options.
It's hard searching for WOT/15x12 comparison stuff trying to figure out what key words to use to sort through all the posts, but I remember that Kered owned both the WOT and the 15x12 and had remarked on comparisons of the two for beach hunting in the past, so I dug up a few quotes from him and another I stumbled upon.
But, I'm sure there are guys who have used both and prefer the WOT instead, so if anybody has any remarks in that respect please share them with this guy. I would suspect that due to it's shape the WOT is easier to move through the water, because I found the squarish shape and blunt side of the 15x12 made for more drag in the water than I cared for, but hunting the dry sand it was great for it's coverage.
The WOT is 14.25", so it's got 2.25" more coverage width wise at the end of your sweeps (the end of your sweep is where that extra coverage will be), but the 15x12 is 3/4ths of an inch longer, so it's going to cover slightly more ground in that respect for your entire sweep.
While the 15x12 didn't go as deep as my stock 10" in my mineralized land sites on coin/ring sized targets, it did go deeper than stock on my mineralized beaches and was very smooth. I find the 12x10 is still a nice step up in coverage when gridding than my stock 10" coil, and that it is deeper than stock on both land and in the sand for me.

The only thing against it is its a tad hevier than the others but well worth it, i also have the next size down 10x12. Waterproof no problems but check the nut where the wire goes into the coul before use, on both this was slack as if tightened by hand
