Hit my yard again last night, came out with a 1910 S wheatie ( books at $16.50 in good condition) , would've been in really good shape but I got it with the Lesche:veryangry: Also pulled out an 1883 V Nickel, my first buffalo(1936),1912 wheatie an indian that I'm in the process of cleaning just to be able to read the date, and a german toy soldier without his feet. Quite a few of these finds were questionable signals. Tunk Tunk instead of beep beep. But they made the Tunk Tunk sounds from swingin' both directions, so I dug. Paid off this time. I dug minimal trash and only one clad penny. There's more I just know it!!!!:)

The tunk sound is because its at the max depth for the amount of sensitivity you're using. I get that a lot when the area I'm in sets my auto sensitivity at 19 or less.

You might want to experiment with manual sensitivity if the ground allows it, sometimes just one or two more than the auto setting will make a big difference. I have also heard TTF might give you a little more on the fringe targets. I haven't tried TTF but the manual sensitivity worked for me if your ground is not real trashy.

Do you realize how happy this makes me to be able to read about all your finds? :wiggle: This is great that you and others can get out in January. Great finds too Nathan. Sounds like you have a wonderful place to detect. Do you have good neighbors that might let detect their yards also? That would be really cool. Thanks for sharing and HH, Nancy
